Jake and Lisa first met back in 2010 through Jake’s brother, and it wasn’t long before they fell for each other. After seven years of dating, Jake popped the question on a beautiful secluded beach on Hamilton Island. Jake and Lisa always wanted to have a wedding by the water, and a friend recommended the Lagoon for it’s stunning location, beautiful dining areas, and excellent food.
The ceremony was lovely, the beach an excellent backdrop for the bridal party. The day was slightly overcast, with the sun poking out to set a perfect temperature.
Lisa walked down the aisle to How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding. Her dress was Zoey by Maggie Sottero, with a lace beaded bodice and back with spaghetti straps, perfectly fitted down to the floor. They had lovely flowers with tealight candles for centerpieces, with colours of white, green and blush.
The wedding reception started with three different canapes: Arancini Balls, Salt and Pepper Squid and Pork Belly. This was followed by Chicken Cardidi & Ricotta Cannelloni for entrees, and mains Beef Eye Fillet & King Island Chicken. And for dessert, the beautiful cake of course!
“The service was fantastic. We were never without a drink at the bridal table and the staff made sure our timeline flowed so dishes were never collected or put down at important times such as speeches.”
“Everyone just had a ball at the wedding, the mood was relaxed yet everyone was ready to party. All the staff at the Lagoon made sure everyone was accommodated and having the best time. It really made the lead up and the day extra special.”
Congratulations Lisa and Jacob, all the best for your beautiful future together!
